APP #1: FOR ADMIN- SEESAW

Technology in education is the biggest change in teaching. Using technology in the classroom allows you to experiment in a new learning model and better engage students. On the other hand, technology in the classroom can be distracting learning. So, how can we use technology effectively as a good tool? And as a teacher, how can we organize students’ works and prepare a lesson better and conveniently by using technology?
I would like to introduce the Seesaw app which is great tools in class management. Seesaw empowers students of any age to create, reflect, collaborate and share. It allows family members to use the Seesaw app to keep up to date with their child’s learning, and easily communicate between school and home. I have been using the seesaw app in a week, I already know how to use which is very easy to learn.

1.     Journal

If you are login to the Seesaw app on your phone or laptop, this is the first screen that you might see. The blue area on your right side let you know the information about your class contents, materials, and students. First of all, I would like to introduce the journal section. It can be digital portfolios capture student’s work. You can take a photo, video, adding files, drawing, and notes about the activities. This will be stored in my library section.

2.     Library

This is the places that you can see all the activities you created and saved in Seesaw. It is a great way to organize and collect school work!

3.     Activities

You can also create class activities and share with students. You can give students instruction by teacher’s note, voice recording, and etc. Student responses to activities will appear in the student journal. Teachers can also access all student responses from the Activities tab. Families will be able to see student activity responses from their child only. This will make your student engaging better!

4.  Home- School  Communication

Seesaw is the ease of communicating and sharing students learning experiences with their parents and guardians. Family members can access their child’s work through the Seesaw app or website as long as their child’s class is active. Each student gets their own profile and can add learning experiences and even record what they have learned during an activity. This can then be shared with their parents.
